I know V day can bring up all kinds of heartache, whether you’re in a relationship or not. My hope is that my words might be like a log on your fire.
You have one purpose in life: to become you. The path there? Be you. Do you. In every single tiny moment, tuning in to do what only you can do, want what you want, use your voice, stand in your truth and TRUST YOU.
It’s a wide open road and it’s hard as hell. Especially for women. Especially for first gen women and women of color. I know because I’ve worked with women for 20+ years to stand in our knowing. To lead. And speak. And make things better – for everyone.
The cost? So high. You know.
Now more than ever, it’s crucial that we do things differently. The world taught us we were as good as our grades. We worship the mind – so much so we’ve forgotten that we have powers undeniable, much greater than our thoughts.
In the waves of the romantic, chocolate card adventure that is Valentine’s day, return to the heart. Go there and remember that you are wiser, stronger and much more powerful than the world would have know.
Your heart and your body are wiser than the mind will ever be.
Tune all three and everything you’ve ever wanted will be yours.
Go for a walk from the head to the heart.
Take a moment to close your eyes and sit there. Ask your heart to tell you what you should know right now. If you’re visual, pull up a movie screen in your mind and tell your heart to show you what’s true. Like a movie director, ask to see in great detail what is coming for you.
